Has Practicing Forgiveness Helped You?
The word “forgiveness” means different things to different people. Forgiving ourselves or others may be hard because emotions such as fear and resentment get in the way. Once we forgive, these emotions often dissipate.
Research shows that forgiveness may be good for our health. Some of life's events are harder to get past than others. Forgiving does not mean forgetting or condoning, but rather increasing understanding, and acceptance.
